I don't want to be one of those people who rambles on and on, full of excuses explaining why I've been away so long. Luckily for me, I don't have to, 'cause right now no one's reading this.
By the time you see this, it has probably been just a few seconds since the last post and not several months.
I'm still figuring everything out, frankly. I'm not sure what I want to do. what format do I want the blog to take? What tone should it take? How should it look and sometimes even what to name it. For now it has a name, so I'll let that be good enough.
In other news, My wife, my sister-in-law and I have started a Youtube page recently about our pursuit of happiness. It's called the "Philippians4:13project". I don't know if you're familiar with that scripture, but it simply says that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. It is a declaration of our intention to make the best out of our lives with everything being made possible by the strength given through our belief in Christ. It's a mouthful, but I think you've got it.
Our first line of business is weight loss. We'll each document our journeys, via video blogs and post them to Youtube as both a journal of progress, but also of the process. It'll also,(we hope) serve as inspiration for others who want to kick their lives into gear and really start living.
That's all for now blog.
!ee ya later!
My Novel Voyage

When I first began this blog I had little expectations about where it would go. It was just some little thing I wanted to do that I figured, at best, would be a personal journal where I could look back and see how far I’d come. That has changed a little.
Kaleb Nation is a Youtuber, blogger and novelist. His story and others, inspire me daily. When Kaleb was going through the process of having his first book published, he was nice enough to share it with the world on his Youtube page and his blog. I was so psyched to be able to have a ring-side seat into the world I wanted so desperately to be a part of. I was so grateful for his transparency that I became that much more motivated to complete my own journey.
So if this blog can mean half as much to someone else as Kaleb’s blog and vlogs meant to me, then I’m happy to talk to a huge room with only one person in it.

I'm Published! but not quite the Novel.
Ok, Ok. I'll tell you. I've been avoiding this for a while because of some silly ,not good enough, foolishness. I was worried that no one would find this exciting except me. I have found, however, that people have have been very supportive of me and very excited. Well, here it is... Three short, short stories I've written were published in a compilation book of other short, short stories. You can find the book here.

Don't You Just Love Introductions?
Ok, hello potential readers! It is the funniest thing to me, to write to what I know is no one, and be expressive and interesting and witty. If you’re confused, then that makes two of us. I’m new to this and don’t expect to have readers of my blog for some time now. I just hope that as you all come you’ll enjoy.
Anyway, I started this blog as a way to keep anyone, who cares, up to speed on my novel writing and publishing progress. I have absolutely no idea how long this will take, but I’m hoping just over a year. I’ve read many books on writing novels and I have a lot of time to write while I’m at work, but that has done nothing to get words on the page. Oh yes, my job, I’m a security guard with Kellogg Company.
Yes, before you ask, it is the cereal people. Don’t worry; I’m no where near the production of Fruit Loops or the Apple Jacks. I would weigh waaaaay more than I do. I find, however, on my scheduled hours of work I’m able to do a significant amount of writing, which I do not take advantage of.
This is partly why I began this blog. I figure, if I have to be accountable to a blog about my process in writing a novel, I will have a better chance at getting it done. No one wants to write about sitting on their butt eating their second whole pizza of the day, wasting valuable time they could have been using for writing, right?
Here’s what I have so far. I have this idea for a book about brothers who discover a third brother on an annual trip to the south to visit their father and his relatives. It’s an homage to my own brothers Candido and Jonathan who, for years, I have been separated from. Their both alive and in relatively good health, but it’s a little complicated to talk about. So I think this story idea is a good one, and for once I feel I have an idea that will carry through an entire book. My idea is to map it out first, get a workable outline. I want to see what works for me. I don’t know if outlines will work, but I want to be prepared. It should be a lot of work, but it should be fun too, and hey, it’s my dream so I have to go for it.
